Andrea Keller is middle school librarian. She began her career as a special education teacher as a LIFE (Learning in a Functional Environment) teacher. Before becoming a librarian she served as an elementary school instructional technology specialist. She was named Texas Computer Education Agency Classroom teacher of the year for the 2011-2012 school year. She has also been named 20 Educators to Watch by the National School Board Associations. Andrea has also been recognized by the local Irving, Region 10 and State Association of Texas Professional Educators as classroom teacher of the year. She was also named Elliott Teacher of the Year. Andrea is also involved in the local community by being a Team Manager for several Destination ImagiNation teams, leader of a Girl Scout troop, and recently began an ukulele program on campus.
